Christian Counseling Training
for counselors and pastoral workers

ISARPAC (the International School of (sexual) Abuse Related Pastoral Counselling) is a Christian counselling school focused on training professionals and pastoral workers alike. Class group meeting for teachingLocated in four different areas of the world, it's aim and is to provide personal growth and professional development. The school is designed to create and establish a place for personal growth and training so that christian counselors/pastoral worker and those with secular experience, can be in a process of professionel development with a Christian approach. The emphasis is on survivors of Sexual abuse.

Concept:

Survivors of serious trauma are often locked in a world of their own. In order to provide adequate help, it is necessary for ’safe’ persons to enter into that world. The biblical concepts of ’grace and peace’ have proven to be important keys in achieving this goal. The encounter with the’Powerful Peace of God’ enables the survivor to face the pain, to leave the past and to look with hope towards the future.

Four Years:

The program consists of four years study with five school sessions. Each year begins with a school of 8 days. The period before the next school involves reading assignments, independent studies, two weekend seminars, topical essays and regular reporting to the school staff. Based on previous studies, some requirements can be waived. The second third and forth year students are expected to work under adequate local supervision in one’s own country. Each student is required to complete 40 hours of counselling (counselling they personally reveive) and 150 hours of counseling they give to others. 50 hours of supervision is also required to graduate.
